Emergency Services Institute
The Emergency Services Institute provides caring, competent treatment of sick or injured patients, conducts research of emergency conditions, and trains physicians, nurses and other health professionals in emergency care. As one of the busiest emergency department services in Northeast Ohio, the Institute sees approximately 86,600 adult and pediatric patients per year, and is staffed by specialists in emergency medicine.
Endocrinology & Metabolism Institute
The Endocrinology & Metabolism Institute offers specialized centers of care for diabetes and thyroid, pituitary and weight disorders. Our surgeons perform the largest number of endocrine surgeries in the region, and the bariatrics program is designated a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute
The Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute is a world leader in treating complex urologic and kidney conditions in adults and children. Head & Neck Institute
Cleveland Clinic’s Head & Neck Institute treats complex disorders of the ear, nose, throat and mouth. It combines the expertise of otolaryngologists, oral surgeons, dentists and voice specialists to provide compassionate care for adult and pediatric patients and specialized care for the professional voice. It collaborated in the world’s first successful larynx transplant and the world’s first near-total face transplant, and is one of the largest programs of its kind.
Cleveland Clinic’s Imaging Institute provides the full range of advanced radiological services, along with research and education. Its subspecialized radiologists read more than 1.9 million images a year and offer patients the most advanced technology and innovative treatment options. The Imaging Institute leads research in acute stroke treatment, 3-D imaging, digital mammography and intravascular ultrasound.
The Medicine Institute encompasses Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Hospital Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Primary Care Women’s Health. Pediatric Institute & Children’s Hospital
Cleveland Clinic Children’s provides comprehensive medical, surgical and rehabilitative care for infants, children and adolescents. Our more than 300 pediatric physicians accommodate more than 750,000 outpatient visits and 10,200 inpatient admissions per year at the children’s hospital and outpatient facilities on our main campus, at the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation campus, and at regional hospitals, family health centers and other locations throughout Ohio.

Stanley Shalom Zielony Institute for Nursing Excellence
The Stanley Shalom Zielony Institute for Nursing Excellence encompasses all nurses and nursing activities at Cleveland Clinic. Its more than 11,000 nurses include nearly 1,000 advanced practice nurses. All provide compassionate care at the highest level of professional expertise through specialty-based units in hospital, outpatient and surgical settings at Cleveland Clinic locations in Northeast Ohio, Florida, Nevada, Canada and Abu Dhabi. Two Cleveland Clinic hospitals (main campus and Fairview) have been granted Magnet recognition by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and another (Lakewood) has achieved Pathway to Excellence designation.

The Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Institute has more than 1,600 employees and 90 professional staff. Comprised of the laboratories located at Cleveland Clinic’s main campus, community hospitals, family health centers and Cleveland Clinic Florida, we perform more than 20 million tests annually. We also serve external clients throughout the country with our full-service reference laboratory, Cleveland Clinic Laboratories. Physicians rely on the specialists within the institute to provide the expert diagnosis, second opinions and subspecialty consultation that are the basis for effective patient care.

Regional Operations Institute
Regional Operations Institute, formerly known as Regional Medical Practice, includes outpatient family health centers and medical office buildings throughout Cuyahoga County. The first family health center in Independence opened in 1993 and today, the ROI team provides care for more than 1.5 million patients per year.
